You Know How The Story Ends

Students: After sitting in traffic for 5 hours last night at a complete stand-still (midnight until 4:47am), I had a lot of time to think about life. After voting in yesterday's election, I zoomed up to Franklin Tennessee (near Nashville) and attended one of the most amazing, memorable, and touching events that I have ever experienced. Please ask me to explain to you what I attended and I will be happy to share the amazing story with you. I have included a picture of my evening with 8 Godly men and 1 young man with the heart of a lion.
I want to briefly share with you a few things that I took away from my time in traffic and in Franklin.
1. It is okay to not be the strongest, the smartest, the best looking, or to be right all of the time. Once we are in Christ, we don't have to live up to any of this stuff. We are called to wave the flag of surrender each morning and literally tell God, "Today, do what you wish with me." (Thanks to a new friend for these thoughts).

2. Always have a Bible packed in your car for times when you are stuck in traffic for 5+ hours. Also, make sure you pack a blanket and pillow in your trunk for times when you will have to sleep on the highway.

3. When stuck in traffic for 5+ hours, get to know your neighbors that are around you. You can really meet some interesting people this way and you can get some free food.

Finally, realize that you do know how the story will end one day. If you are in Christ, we know what the final chapter will result in. There are many mysterious things about God that I do not know but I do know what the final page of my story will be like and it will be "awesome". (Thanks again to a dear friend for this inspiration).

Have a great rest of the week!
